Key Requirements for a Successful Application
To qualify, the Canadian host (the child or grandchild) and the visiting parent or grandparent must meet specific IRCC criteria.
1. The Financial Threshold (LICO)
The Canadian host must demonstrate that their household income meets or exceeds the Low-Income Cut-Off (LICO). This ensures you can comfortably support your family members during their extended stay.
